Holistic Full Body Massage
You will learn a fundamental, yet potent sequence of massage techniques inspired by Swedish Massage, aimed at relaxing the entire body. Step by step, you'll grasp the basic massage sequence, enhancing your confidence as a therapist while gaining both practical and theoretical knowledge.
Foot Reflexology
Reflexology involves the gentle manipulation or pressing of specific parts of the foot to stimulate effects elsewhere in the body. Also referred to as zone therapy, it's an alternative medicine practice that applies pressure to the feet and hands using specific thumb, finger, and hand techniques, all without the use of oil or lotion.
Hot Stone Massage
In this course, you'll master the technique of incorporating hot stones into your massages. This method entails placing smooth, heated stones on specific areas of the body to enhance relaxation and therapeutic effects. Additionally, you'll learn how to use the stones as tools by holding them in your hands to perform a full-body massage, further deepening the therapeutic experience for your clients.
Thai Massage
"Thai massage" or "Thai yoga massage" is an ancient healing system that blends acupressure, Indian Ayurvedic principles, and assisted yoga postures. Unlike many other massage techniques, traditional Thai massage does not involve the use of oils or lotions, and the recipient remains fully clothed during the treatment. Throughout the session, there is continuous body contact between the practitioner and the recipient. Rather than simply massaging muscles, the body is manipulated through compression, pulling, stretching, and rocking movements.
Ayurvedic Abhayanga Massage
Abhyanga, derived from the Sanskrit word "to anoint," is an ancient Ayurvedic practice. Ayurveda recommends massage with warm herbal oils as a daily ritual. Specific oils are selected for the head and body based on individual body types. This exquisite Ayurvedic treatment can be learned in two traditional methods: four-handed massage, performed by two therapists, or two-handed massage, conducted by a single therapist.
Choorna Swedana Massage
The treatment, also known as "bundle massage," Choorna Swedana therapy initiates with the application of dosha-specific massage oil to the entire body. The massage progresses with the use of a bundle containing herbal powder, seeds, or leaves (poultice). This therapy aids in alleviating various conditions including neurological disorders, rheumatism, arthritis, sports injuries, and fibromyalgia.
Shirodhara
Shirodhara is an ancient therapy cherished for centuries for its ability to restore inner calmness in the mind and emotional balance. It commences with a gentle dripping of warm Ayurvedic oil onto the "third eye" area, succeeded by a rejuvenating scalp massage. A continuous stream of warm medicated oil then flows onto the forehead and the entire scalp area, accompanied by a soothing head massage. This therapy is beneficial for addressing issues such as insomnia, migraines, stress, anxiety, depression, and serves as an effective remedy for jet lag.
