200 Hours Yoga Teacher Training Course

This 200 Hours Yoga Teacher Training Course is a full-time 28-day residential program, providing an introduction to the fundamental techniques of Yoga, emphasizing the following: the concept of Yoga philosophy and its impact on health, breathing techniques, basic understanding of anatomy & physiology, and a general introduction to teaching methodology. The 200-hour YTTC is designed to elevate your practice to the next level, equipping you with the skills to share it with others. Jiten Yogshala warmly invites you to embark on a journey to discover the divinity within yourself through this course. Students engage with a practical and theoretical syllabus presented in 4 units that are covered concurrently throughout the duration of the course.

  1. YOGA PHILOSOPHY – Students will learn about the major Eastern sources of yoga knowledge and its application both in teaching and in daily life.
  2. HATHA YOGA STUDIES – students will gain a sound knowledge and understanding of the classical asanas and other practices of yoga, by means of tutorial classes, detailed personal sadhana and self-reflection.
  3. ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY AND PSYCHOLOGY OF YOGA – students will gain a basic understanding of the anatomical structure of the body and how the bodily systems function and will be able to relate the all systems to asana, pranayama and relaxation in terms of physiological & Psychological responses.
  4. TEACHING SKILLS – students will learn to teach all aspects in the detailed syllabus by teaching their peer group under the guidance of the hatha yoga masters.

Evaluation Process:

  • Written Test: Preparation of charts or group presentations.
  • Oral Test: group discussions, debates, question, and answer sessions
  • Attendance: punctuality of 95%
  • Performance: All practices
  • Code of conduct: social and ethical behaviour will be observed.
  • Assignments (after 2nd week to have the continuity of knowledge and practice)

Certificate and Accreditation

JitenYogshala is approved by the Yoga Alliance, USA, as a "Registered Yoga School - RYS 200." This means our 100 and 200-hour "Yoga Teacher Training Programs in India" meet the high standards set by Yoga Alliance. After finishing our program, you'll be assessed to become a member of Yoga Alliance and earn the title of RYT-200. Plus, you'll be able to join our more advanced 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training Course if you complete all the units successfully.

Daily Schedule:

Our Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) programs have a structured schedule with approximately 6 to 8 hours dedicated to various aspects of yogic practice every day. Depending on the season, whether it's winter or summer, our morning sessions typically start around 6:00am with chanting mantras, followed by asana practices. Meditation and pranayama are also integral parts of our daily schedule.

Throughout the course, you'll be provided with three nutritious yogic meals a day, along with fruit refreshments and green tea. Additionally, you'll be assigned daily written homework or assignments as part of your training. These assignments are designed to deepen your understanding of the subjects covered in the course.

As part of our yogic practice, we strongly encourage all students to prioritize early bedtime.

  • 07:15 pm - 08:30 pm : Dinner
  • 09:00 pm onwards : Lights Out

This schedule is designed to provide a comprehensive experience, balancing physical practice, study, meditation, and relaxation.

Payment Options:

  •   Information and Instructions for payment procedure will be sent to you with your letter of acceptance.
  •   To reserve your seat, you need to pay USD 200 as non-refundable deposit.
  •   The balance of the payment may be made on Orientation Day upon arrival in Rishikesh.
  •   The Payment methods we accept are cash (Indian Rupees or US Dollars), credit card and online transfer using Transferwise.
  •   Payments by online transfer may be made in any Currency, as we will receive all payments in Indian Rupees.

Refund Policy:

  •   Course fee including deposit paid for registration is non-refundable and it is valid for one year from the actual course date.
  •   Students are required to pay a deposit to secure their space, and the outstanding course fee must be paid in full before the course commences.
  •   Please note that we do not give refunds, so it is your responsibility to ensure that you are fully insured against any unforeseen circumstances that either prevent you from attending the course, or that require you to leave the course early.
